AUGUST 2013 – LOOP-POOL, RULLERHAUS, OSNABRÜCK, GERMANY

LOOP-POOL – August 17 and 18, 2013. Marjan Verkerk created a large work, 1,50 x 15,00 meters, mixed media on paper. Materials included pigment, crayon and photocopies of photographs made by Marjan in advance. This was an interaction between the artist and the musician, Joachim Raffel, who played the piano and created original sounds, composing with a loop recorder. The artist and musician worked together for two days, 4 hours each day, responding to each other’s ideas in front of a live audience. JUNE 2011 – KLANKKLEURFESTIVAL IN DE UILENBURGERSJOEL AMSTERDAM

Marjan Verkerk is één van de kunstenaars die voor het festival een grafische partituur ontwierp.
De werken van alle deelnemende kunstenaars zijn te zien in de expositieruimte van de Uilenburgersjoel op 10, 11 en 12 juni 2011.
Opening van de expositie: vrijdag 10 juni 2011 om 17.00 uur.
De partituur wordt gespeeld door viool, cello en contrabas op zondag 12 juni 2011 om 16.30 uur.
